Zeutschel introduces hardware and software solutions for the digitalization of microfiches and jackets at CeBIT 2007.
The OM 1500 microfiche scanner by Mekel Technologies combines high performance with top quality and ease of use. This scanner is distributed exclusively by Zeutschel. In addition to jackets and A.B. DICK fiches, larger formats (up to a card size of 188 mm) are now also supported. In contrast to the previous model, the OM 1500 has a significantly higher scan speed of up to 6,000 scans per hour. With the OM 1500, a complete film series can be produced as an image in high resolution. This filmstrip mode can increase productivity by up to 75 %. The Quality Control/Rescan module allows the user to monitor the scan results and, if necessary, immediately correct them, which saves both time and costs. The automatic and manual focus setting additionally contribute to an optimized image quality; the latter can be used by the operator for fine adjustments. The OM 1500 not only offers great functionality, it is also easy to use: An automatic microfiche loading system, for example, eliminates the need for inconvenient cassette changes.
