CeBIT 2008 – Zeutschel now in Hall 3 / Booth B51

Book-scanning with facsimile quality

Zeutschel is moving to Hall 3 / B51 at CeBIT 2008 http://www.zeutschel.de/download/CeBIT2008/CeBIT_FloorPlan_Hall3.pdf
and we are presenting ourselves in a new and even more attractive guise. In all other respects everything will be as it always was: interesting new developments for CeBIT, expert business partners and the Swabian hospitality for which Zeutschel is well known.
The highlight of the show this year is the new OS 14000 range of scanners.
This range is aimed at those using scanners in libraries and archives and for whom image quality is the highest priority. With the combination of a resolution of up to 600 ppi and a contrast range never achieved before valuable documents can be reproduced as a digital image true to the original. At the same time the other important factors were high productivity and a procedure which did not harm the original: it has been possible to double the scanning speed in comparison with earlier models and the system of illumination employed does not emit any UV / IR radiation. There are three models according to the format required, from A2 to A1 to A0.
The OS 12000 range offers book-scanning for everyone. A patented LED illumination system enables an extraordinary scanning speed of 1 second in greyscale and 3 seconds in colour. The main functions can be activated in just a few steps; the integral monitor provides a preview of the scan, thus almost eliminating spoilt copies. These surface scanners will also impress you with their modern design and facilities for extension and expansion. In addition to the A2 model, an OS 12000 colour scanner for A1 formats will be shown for the first time at CeBIT.
The new architecture of the Omniscan 12 scanning and image processing software delivers a higher level of productivity and ease of operation when scanning. OS 12 supports the 62-bit versions of Windows XP and Windows Vista, which significantly improves the performance of the scanning process. Even large amounts of data can be processed easily . The multi-tasking facility enables users during scanning to edit documents which have already been digitized.
