Zeutschel OS 12000 V: High-performance scanner for especially valuable books

Zeutschel introduces the OS 12000 V for safe preserving scanning of books that may not be opened completely.

Zeutschel introduces the OS 12000 V for safe preserving scanning of books that may not be opened completely. The book is held in a V position with an especially book-saving opening angle of only 90°. The latest light and scan technologies as well as innovative operating concepts ensure high-grade results with easiest handling. OS 12000 V will be available for colour and black-and-white scans as of the middle of the year. http://www.zeutschel.de

OS 12000 V combines optimised protection of valuable books with high efficiency. The unique double page processing scans both pages at once despite the V position.

Users benefit from easy and convenient handling through adjustable side brackets and variable book spine width as well as the integrated triggering bar.

The ergonomic control panel of the OS 12000 V allows activation of the most important functions in just a few steps. The OS 12000 V is optionally available with an integrated monitor to check the digital image. Faulty scans are thus a thing of the past.
The lighting program works without UV/IR emission and is characterised by low light stress. Light affects the scanning material for an extremely short period of time only. This ensures highly careful treatment of valuable documents.

The rear, glare-free lighting prevents shadows and interfering reflections and provides the best possible illumination of the book fold.

The optional 3D scan technology ´Perfect Book´ can improve image quality even more. ´Perfect Book´ offers perfect rectification of book folds and isolation of pages through edge detection. The thumb holding the book open is retouched just like the notes marking pages.

The Zeutschel OS 12000 series consists of A1 and A2 colour scanners and an A2 model for black-and-white scans. An A2 book copy version with an attached printing system and/or storage on USB stick is also available.
