Designed for use in digitisation projects, the identical OS 15000 is equipped with a book cradle and the OS 12 scanning software.
The OS 14000 provides a previously unknown quality of facsimile. Valuable historic documents are faithfully reproduced as digital images. Using the high-end book scanner, the British Library is currently digitising the entire newspaper archives which contain practically every edition of British newspaper since the year 1800. Four million newspaper pages are already available online, once the project has finished in ten years time this number will be 40 million newspaper pages.
The OS 14000 and the OS 12000 series will both be showcasing new and interesting features at the CeBIT. These features will provide an enhanced scanning quality and an optimised depth of field - without sacrificing productivity.
For complete handling of digitisation projects, Zeutschel will present the comprehensive software package OSCAR. The OSCAR solutions are equally suitable for small and large libraries and range from the scan software OS 12 and the OS QM tool for a productive quality management across the campus delivery service HERMES DIGITAL through to the workflow software GOOBI ZED for control and management of mass digitisation projects.
